‘Blogmas’ Day 1: Memories From The Past

Of all the months of the year there is not a month one-half so welcome to the young, or so full of happy associations, as the last month of the year.

Since the new month began, I have been super excited. When asked why, I don’t really have a reason behind it. I just have this kafeeling that this month comes with joy and good tidings. Perhaps most of the joy is brought about by the fact that I am a optimistic person in life, and many times look forward to great things coming my way. Or maybe this time, great things are actually going to happen. Also, I want to let you guys in on what I have been up to… But again, it’s still too soon. I will though. Really soon.

Growing up when December came, I would be so excited because we got to go for a holiday or at least travel a little. Visiting my grandma’s is my favorite memory from it all. She would look after us like babies and ensure we enjoyed our time there, until it was time to go back home and our ‘rents would come for us.

Watching many movies made me want a Christmas tree in the house. I remember pressuring dad one year to put up a Christmas tree in the living room. That year was not going to be Christmas without the Christmas tree up. I felt the Christmas joy only after the tree was up.
He did and I had to help in decorating it.

I do not remember getting any Christmas gifts, or santa falling into the house through the chimney to deliver gifts, but I remember the joy and love that existed then. There would be celebrations throughout the month, with good food and great company. This is the time of the month you would be introduced to all your family members and distant cousins you only got to see once a year.

This year was going to be a little different for me. I had it all planned out. I was going to take a vacation and travel home much later.Well, life never goes according to our plans. Thinking of it, at what age does one not travel home for the holidays and instead decides to take a vacation?

Thank you so much for reading through and for your continuous support. I treasure each and every one of you. You all have a special place in my heart. Until next time, have a good one!🙂

Let's be friends. Let's hang out every week, catch up, and just have a good time. PS: Tell a friend to tell a friend where we meet 🙂
