Some days we wake up and we are crushing all our goals. Other days, however, we feel lost.

Luckily, there is a cure for when you’re feeling lost and have no money for therapy 😅.

Get yourself a good book.

Whether you are looking for an escape, some tangible advice, or major inspiration, there’s a book out there that can get you out of feeling lost.

They say laughter is the best medicine, but trust me when I say that these books are. Get them if you are feeling lost, or gift them to a friend that could use a little boost.

The Wisdom of Sundays: Life-Changing Insights from Super Soul Conversations – Oprah Winfrey

Do you need a little pick me up?

Look no further! Oprah is your answer. The book is a compilation of some of Oprah’s very best ‘aha’ moments from Super Soul Sunday. These are some of the most encouraging interviews between Oprah and some of the world’s most inspiring leaders.

If you have been lacking purpose, motivation, or feel lost, this is the book for you.

More Than Enough: Claiming Space for Who You Are (No Matter What They Say) – Elaine Welteroth

If you are a lover of memoirs like I am, More Than Enough is the book that will not only entertain you, but also boost your confidence, happiness, and purpose.

The author, Welteroth, unpacks lessons on race, identity, and success through her own journey. Through this, she offers advice to you, who needs to be reminded that you are awesome.

Good Vibes, Good Life – Vex King

Vex King draws from his personal experience and wisdom to help you practice self-care, cultivate positive habits, manifest your goals using tried and true techniques, overcome fear, and find a higher purpose to be a shining light for others.

It’s basically like Oprah’s book club, but for millennials.

The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself – Michael A. Singer

This is a perfect combination of psychology and spirituality.

The book goes deeper into what you can do to free yourself from habitual thoughts, emotions, and energy patterns that limit your consciousness and hold you back.

By the end of this book, you’ll not only understand yourself better than you ever have, but you’ll feel in control of your emotions (all of them).

Eat, Pray, Love – Elizabeth Gilbert

When I saw this book as one of the suggestions for when you’re feeling lost, I realized it had a movie version of it. I have added it to my list, even though I am yet to watch it or read the book.

2021 looked a little hopeful as compared to 2020, but if you have been feeling lost this far into the year, this is a book you should grab. It will offer you an escape and a realistic happy ending that will leave you feeling hopeful, even when you are feeling lost.

Year of Yes: How To Dance It, Stand In The Sun & Be Your Own Person – Shonda Rhimes

I have talked about Year of Yes here and how this book challenged me in so many ways.

If you don’t know who Shonda is, then you should start by watching Grey’s Anatomy or Scandal. Yes, she is the creator of these movies and so many others.

In the book, Rhimes talks about the year she decided to say yes to everything and how this small decision had major life changes.

If you are not sure what you are meant to do with your life, this is a book you must read.
