Even though we keep talking about counting our blessings, looking at brighter side of things, being positive and so on, do we really practice them when things fall apart at the seams? That is the time we crib and grumble the most. “Why me? Why this? Why that?” and so on are the questions uppermost in our minds. That is the time to remember God’s innumerable mercies and Blessing showered on us in the past. That is the time to practice what you have been saying so many times. Rekindle your faith and Hold on to Him. Remember that there are still things to be thankful for.
Happy belated women’s day to all the women I know. If you’re reading this and you are one, happy women’s day to you (belated of course). May we know them, be them and raise them.🍻
I have been laying low on social media for quite a while now, and I am still doing it. The hiatus was instigated by a few reasons… (story for another day). Generally, because I am a social media person, I am still adjusting to the ‘new life’. For the first time in about a month I haven’t made an Instagram story about the stuff I’m doing, and right now, it’s pretty much hard for you to know what I am really up to. (That tells you a lot about how I was pre the hiatus). I mean, I lived in social media.
I’ve seen better days, but I’ve also seen worse. I don’t have everything that I want, but I do have all I need. I woke up with some aches and pains, but I woke up. My life may not be perfect, but I am blessed.
In my break from the social media craze, I have been able to do so much reflection.
I found myself one night complaining about all I was going through. Then it hit me instantly, ‘instead of complaining about what’s going wrong in your life, why not give thanks for what you have?’ I actually wasn’t sure I wanted to share this with you until I believed it and was actually at a point of thankfulness rather than complaining.
I started counting my blessings, and I was (still am) amazed at the faithfulness of God in my life. Even in my tribulations, there is a blessing that lies ahead.
Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward in the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage, and confidence.
Each time you count your blessings, you will be amazed at His work in your life. Instead of complaining about your situation, why not see the positive side of your situation?
Look at the bottle of water half full, instead of half empty.
When I started counting my blessings, my whole life changed.❤
