Three Idiots (2009)
This is a movie based on three people who become really close during their first year of campus. The funny thing however, is that among the three, only one is bright and is able to ace all his papers. The other two always end up being the bottom two.
It is revealed that Rancho, the bright one of the three, is actually studying for someone else and once he graduates, he returns the degree to his employer’s son. During their time in school, the three idiots get into a lot of mischief and Rancho falls in love with the professor’s daughter, but loses contact with her. They however never agree on whether noses touch when two people kiss. Do they? In the end, he still becomes successful and has his own school of innovations.
Brothers Grimsby (2016)
If you haven’t seen this movie, you had better look for it. It is funny throughout. Two brothers lose contact with each other until 20something years later. One is an undercover agent, and the other, well, the other is a father in search of his long lost brother. It is the adventure after they meet and try to escape wrongful accusations, that makes this interesting. From going to Africa to attending the football game finals in Chile, between England and Germany, this will crack you up for sure.
Miracles from Heaven (2016)
This is centered around a christian family whose daughter falls sick and no cure can be found for her. See, her stomach suddenly becomes swollen and she experiences excruciating pain. The parents try every doctor possible and eventually after staying in hospital for quite a while, she is sent home without any help. She falls in the hollow of a tree, (and this was the saddest part for me) and loses consciousness. Surprisingly, she wakes up with a normal stomach and being completely well. Towards the end, not everyone believes that she was actually sick to begin with. But the mother says the following words by Albert Einstein, “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is.”
When the Bough Breaks (2016)
What happens when it breaks? This is a movie that is quite captivating, though if you cannot stand thriller movies, this isn’t for you. A couple try desperately to have a child without any success and their doctor advises them to try surrogacy as an option, which they gladly take. They identify a young woman who genuinely seems to be in need of the money and wants to also help. Once they settle on her, they begin the process and eventually take the girl in. It soon becomes clear that the girl has hidden motives, and is actually after breaking the couple’s marriage and making the man hers. Once the child is born, she refuses to give the baby away and this becomes a struggle as you will see in the movie. You won’t want to miss this.
