I had envisioned this post about 3 months ago when I thought it would be a good time to write about these. In my head, I would have done a couple of things and in the process, get stuff that would serve as my post.
But then….we had to skip a lot of that.
Just last week, I didn’t think I would have a post. I was actually contemplating changing it to something else and telling you guys that the post had to change.
Lakini Mungu ni nani!
So, without further ado, let’s get right into it.
I am very huge on art that has me in it (for lack of a better description).
When I saw this piece, my first question was who that person was. Then it dawned on me almost immediately that I was staring at myself!
I got this as a gift, but I’m sure if you want one done, it can be done at affordable rates 🙂
I have been restraining from buying clothes because “Where am I gonna wear them?”
However, the other day I was walking in town, near where cloth vendors are. Then I saw this top that was just calling me. Literally. Funny thing is, I looked at it and didn’t think it would fit, but I still bought it.
It just looks good on me, right?
It was 200 bob.
I am not a tea person. However, there is something about taking black tea or hot water right before bed. This has recently become part of my nighttime routine. I take a cup of un-sugared black flavored tea and feel so good after. You should try it.
This was 200-and-something bob. I got mine from Naivas, but I’m sure they are in many other supermarkets.
What this year has taught me, more than any other year, is that, even in the hard times, there is something to be grateful for.
I was watching Adanna David’s Youtube channel on how one of their family nighttime routines is to talk and write what they are grateful for. I thought that was a really good idea and decided to start that as well.
And here we are. I got this journal from my mum and made it a gratitude one.
Whenever I am on a phone call, I usually like holding or playing with something. Mostly, it is my charger head.
Someone noticed this and decided I needed something else!
I have talked about my ‘water journey’ a lot here. I thought I needed a smaller water bottle that I can at least carry with me everywhere I go.
I walked into Miniso and got this really cute clear water bottle for less than 500 bob. They have a wide range that you could choose from, depending on what you are looking for.
Over the past couple of months, I have been trying to stay fit as opposed to losing weight because I am not moving as much as I would be.
In trying to motivate myself to stay consistent, I decided to get myself a few workout clothes.
I got them from the streets, along Tom Mboya to be precise, the top and bottom are sold separately. The total for one full piece came to around 400 bob. Which is quite affordable if you ask me.
For a really long time, I have been toying with the idea of getting a nice mirror. I had seen a few at Miniso and was actually planning on getting one.
Until I realized my mum has one! And so because she’s not using it at the moment, it is partly mine 😁
I love mirrors and this is my current favorite.
Garnier Charcoal Mask
There is something about this Garnier product that I cannot explain. This for me has become an addition to my ‘basic’ skincare routine especially now that I have more time on my hands.
I ordered mine online for 950 bob. I have however seen it in Naivas and even Jumia for about the same price. Try it out and let me know how it works out for you!
Thank you for staying to the end 🙂
