Nairobi weather has been so unpredictable these past few weeks. Just the other day I left the house confidently walking in a tee, and no sweater. The next day I woke up to a pretty cold day.
It’s been a series of cold days, but who knows? You might just be reading this while basking in the sun!
I am currently trying to figure out a way to get more sweaters because…well…you just never know when it’s gonna rain…or pour.
But what kind of sweaters should you choose? I rounded up a few of my favorites that make it easy to keep warm, feel comfortable, and look put together, all in one.
Here’s how you can make cold weather bearable, with these sweaters:
Wrapping a cardigan sweater around you is like getting a nice warm hug on a chilly winter day. One great thing about cardigans is their versatility. They come in a variety of materials and styles, whether button-up or completely open. A lightweight cardigan can give an extra element of warmth in this cold weather.
It’s a classic that has somehow been able to stand the test of time. These ones are thicker sweaters than most and can be especially warm as a result. There are shorter and longer ones, which go well with leggings or tight pants. The detail on them also means you don’t need to pair them with jewelry or a scarf to make them look nice; they look great on their own.
When the weather really starts to turn, there is nothing better than a thick, knitted turtleneck sweater to keep the heat in. Pair one with jeans, heavy boots, and a thick coat or leather jacket for a timeless look. Of course, you can also grab one in a lighter knit and pair it with a blazer to add some sophistication to your outfit.
Sleeveless Trench Coat
Sleeveless trench coats are one of my favorite. This is a gift I got from a friend and it has come in so handy. You can style sleeveless trench coats so many different ways, with jeans, leggings, pants, shorts, and a top; which is the way it’s usually worn if you want to dress casually.
A blazer can elevate any look. If you’re ever feeling unsure about an outfit, chances are throwing a blazer over it will make it 10 times more pulled together. It helps to have more than one blazer.
Thank me later! 🙂
See You Next Week!
