The Magic That Is Garnier -

I remember when were first taught about adolescence. When we got to the part where girls could also develop pimples on their face, I made a silent prayer, “God, please don’t let me be one of those girls.”

Well, I did get pimples in high school, and right after high school, they cleared up.

As I grow older, I realize the importance of taking care of my skin – taking water, treating it well and all.

For the past two months, I have incorporated a weekend skincare routine using the Garnier Pure Active 3-in-1 face scrub, the Pure-Active Micellar cleansing water, the soft smoothing toner, and the daily cream.

I say weekend because honestly, during the week, I feel so lazy and all I think of is sleep.

I decided to incorporate the four products into my skin routine, just to see how effective they would work together. Also, they are quite affordable compared to other skincare products in the market.

Micellar water

This has become my all-time favorite. Every time I’m thinking of a weekend getaway, this is something I think of carrying. This cleansing water promises to remove makeup, cleanse and purify the face. And that is exactly what it does.

The one I use is majorly for oily skin and is aimed at removing excess oils that build-up on the skin. It also provides the perfect start to my cleansing routine.

Pure Active 3 in 1

The 3-in-1 wash, scrub, and the mask contains 3 key ingredients: Eucalyptus extract, Zinc, and Salicyclic Acid. These work together to treat blemish-prone skin without stripping the skin of essential moisture.

After using this product and washing it off, I always feel a change in how my skin feels. Or is it just all in my mind?

Soft Smoothing Toner

After cleansing it, I apply a toner. I realize my forehead is darker than other parts of my face, and that is what I am working on.

I also use it as a moisturizer.

The toner is meant to soften the skin, revive and refresh it.

Daily Cream

Once all that is done, depending on the time of day, I may use the daily cream.

I prefer using it as a primer because of its’ mattifying effect. When applied on its own, it makes my face look quite ashy.

Its purpose is simply to even the skin tone and reduce dark marks.

After two months of using these products in my weekend skincare routine, I swear by Garnier.
