The Shift: Self-Isolation & Everything In Between

It’s only been a few days of me working from home. And I must say, this quarantine thing is real.

I hope most of you are practicing the stay-home policy. For extroverts, I know this is a challenging time for you… and for introverts like me, this is equally challenging.

Are you managing to? How are you doing it? How do your days look like?

I stocked up on some of my favorite movies and series and have been practicing self-isolation quite literally.

To help with surviving and even thriving through this difficult time we have found ourselves in, I came up with a few things I have been doing that you too can do.

Clean

You may have been putting off cleaning your house, closet, clothes, and other stuff because you were just so tired and there was so little time. But now that you are in the house the whole day, why not clean everything up?

Try out new recipes

Whether you like cooking or not, this would be a good thing to do – to not only pass time but impress yourself as well.

Just go to the Food section of my blog and pick one thing you could whip up in a few minutes. Trust me, you’ll love it.

Revamp your skincare routine

I have been using the same products on my skin since last year. My skin is looking great. But of course, there’s more that I can do. Of late, I have become more intentional in taking care of this skin.

Sign up for an online course

So schools and universities here were ordered to close and practice virtual learning. I have no idea how that is working so far – but hopefully, as good as the face to face one.

You can take this time to take up a short online course and actually boost your skillset in the end. Yes?

Watch that series/movie you’ve always wanted to

I had put off watching movies for a while because there was stuff I needed to concentrate on first. I got that out of the way and I must say, this is the time I am catching up on everything I have wanted to for such a long time.

This is a good thing that could take your mind out of what is happening everywhere right now.

Work out

Last year, I started working out… and just when the abs were starting to pop, I stopped.

This quarantine has made me intentional in working out. Gyms have been closed, but there are practically numerous apps online that you can use to work out.

I’m using one called Home Workouts and I’ll show you the results very soon. You’ll see. Kinda feeling my abs coming through 🙂

Also, to stay safe and keep others around you safe, #StayHome

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Be Safe!

Let's be friends. Let's hang out every week, catch up, and just have a good time. PS: Tell a friend to tell a friend where we meet 🙂

  1. Washing clothes has been for a long time my ‘heaviest’ tasks, I really have to plan and prepare psychologically before I do it, but thanks for the good reminder there.
